Here’s some interesting tidbits on PBS…. The Chronicle of Philanthropy  did a study in 1994  that found PBS ranked 11th among 100 of the most popular and credible charity or non-profits in the US. More,  38.2% of Americans over the age of 12 choose “love” and “like a lot” when given a chance to rate PBS.

More……when PBS.org went on line by 2013 its traffic had risen from a starting audience of 2 million to a quarter-billion! That surpassed CBS, ABC and NBC web sites!

PBS has won more Webby awards than any other media company in the WORLD!

Trump asks in his budget to cancel government funding for PBS? Why? It’s recently circulated that when Winston Churchill was asked by Parliament to cut funding from the arts during World War ll he replied, “Then what are we fighting for?” Thing is, Snopes rates this  quote as fake news, but the point remains well taken. Who wants a society void of the Arts, the Humanities, social welfare security and accessible education and  health care?

It’s important to understand that PBS is not solely run by government funding, but has a huge donation based backing from working Americans, businesses and from corporations world-wide. Added to this, our government is meant to help provide American’s services we want, like PBS and the postal system to name two.

Our government is not a business based enterprise charged with making money off the backs of our citizen’s preferences. No, like the U.S, postal system that was never meant to make money but to cost money while providing American’s with mail service, PBS is a non-profit that provides many American’s with a well deserved service.

America is all for one and one for all. Thereby, if so many citizens enjoy the services rendered via PBS then it is reasonable that some monies from the government’s tax collection be used to keep the service up and running.

I say to our government-relax, fund PBS and thank God Social Security checks can still come in the U.S. Mail!

One more little point…..I’ve long heard the notion that PBS is a liberal based broadcast-nothing could be further from the truth. Show’s that talk about global warming are not points but discussions, many  try to be factually based though opinionated. Here’s the deal—if the right did think global warming was true and the Left didn’t, PBS would still run those programs. Get it?

Just because PBS may run programs you find offensive, too liberal for your liking, or just plain wrong doesn’t make the station liberal based. No, most times PBS shows are informative with regard to the facts as stated by science, whether those facts be right or wrong.

The bottom line on PBS: If Democrats everywhere started pooping in the streets, PBS would air shows about it and may even present ideas based on facts about how unhealthy this habit was for America—no matter how much stink they got from some segments of our society because pooping on streets may be healthy for our run-off ground water and good for the economy.

PBS doesn’t lean left or right, but merely presents points of interest in ways that are most often educational, and American’s love their PBS stations….

Them’s the facts. There are no alternative facts about it. None, zip-zero, nada, no how, anything left to say than Trumps’ call to defund one of America’s most popular TV shows is a wrong way turn on a dead-end street.*

Click-off for now.

I worry. I do worry for Trump’s safety.

“He can blow me!” I’ve heard it said.

“I love the man.” I’ve seen it written.

“Make America great again!” Everyone heard the call that was confusing to some, but it rallied voters.

Thing is, Trump’s successful romp through bankruptcies,  scores of litigation, forthright allegations of sexual abuse and a new world’s record of flip-flops, no wait, of merely not making any position he has clear but that he’d build a wall that Mexico would pay for (except we would pay for it), is a montage of miraculous wonderment.  WTH?!?!

There are few groups left Trump hasn’t lambasted, outed in tweeter rants or belittled. Muslims love the guy, right? China is excited about his position on Taiwan. Some Mexican’s might love to have the guy for dinner-literally. The disabled feel ridiculed-did a man running for President actually imitate a disabled person while on stage?-and women may have to stop wearing skirts when he’s in the room. Of course, with the NRA in America and world-wide wholesale weapon sales, a few of these groups may have guns. Right?

There’s a right and wrong way to get what you want in America-ask Bonnie and Clyde. Trump needs to understand this basic principle.

Working within the system is important.

Working within the system is important.

Then again, it takes guts to right a wrong as the first woman to run in the Boston Marathon found out.

Men attacked the first woman to run in the race....

Men attacked the first woman to run in the race….

Good intentions, truth, what is right shines from within, and no amount of misguided thought can dim that light.

And it all could be so different if only Donald would leave his combatant life style behind and embrace his new-found success. He’s pushed through enough electoral votes to win the Presidency of the United States. Now is not the time for him to dice up the country as though he was engineering a hostile business merger-a take over.

The people surrounding Donald Trump aren’t helping him transition in a successful way.

Trump bites back when he needs to cajole his opponents, not contest them. Trump  needs to persuade, not invade other people’s ideas. When he needs to inveigle people, he enrages them.  For every wheedle he should make, he needles the point instead and makes people sore. Where he should coax, he’s a backwash of shellac; a call for charm seems to prompt him to cause harm, to be verbally abusive, almost child-like, a school yard bully in uppity clothes.

Why? Why can’t Trump relax in his new skin and put on the cloak of negotiation?

Trump needs to wear a new set of clothes.

Effective methods used to gather America’s greatest thinkers and politicians alike would yield Trump real power. If I learned one thing from being a head negotiator for a powerful union it is this: true power does not come from discord, but from keeping your friends close and your enemies closer.*

Someone in the know, for Trump’s sake, for America’s sake , needs to talk to the new President elect and make him see the world in a different light-turn on the light  so to speak.

Someone has to pull this switch, and change Trump.

Someone has to pull this switch, and change Trump.

Trump needs to change if he is to become a successful President.  No one can bankrupt a country and enrage the world and walk away with the profits.

Trump's banging himself over the head with his own words.

Trump’s banging himself over the head with his own words; he won’t cash in.

Trump can change. It’s never too late to change. Thing is, Trump has to change.

The world can only hope. For more on this, here’s  a link to an article that says this all better than I could hope to.

It's a good time to appreciate one another.

It’s a good time to appreciate one another.

I have to say that John Lennon’s song, So This Is Christmas- War is Over, often runs  on the background hard drive of my brain during the holiday time. The promise of peace looms in my soul somewhat like those three-day work weeks my generation was told we’d live to see, and all due to technological advances that were to come.

Some promises are hard to hang on to.

Some promises are hard to hang on to.

At times things don’t work out as planned.

Today, this glob writer has much to be thankful for. I’m thankful for readers in 82 countries who have clicked in almost 6 thousand times this year to check out what’s banging thru my head on a weekly basis. I have a home, and a lake home, a beach home and rentals to boot, and all from once having hitch-hiked 30 miles to a flea market with all the wares I had to sell on my back. I could go back to even worse times in my life, but I won’t. The simple truth is I’ve been lucky to live the American dream-moving from very little to something that is more than enough. And I have good friends. My job? Being a children’s librarian is about as good as it gets, but at 67 I can actually see the switch on the light at the end of the tunnel so, with luck, I’ll retire someday too soon for me. I’ve five books written. three are on Kindle and a fourth is about to come out -if I can just let go-and that’s all a blast.

This year could go head to head with any other I've had and come out well.

This year could go head to head with any other I’ve had and come out well.

It’s difficult at times for me as an American to realize much of the world’s people don’t have enough to live. It’s easy to look away.

It’s easy to forget the Lakota and other tribes still stand in freezing temperatures hoping to stop the pipeline.

I try to envision Isis truly being stopped, or morphed into a place where negotiation is possible. I still dream of massive food airlifts like the kind America ran in WW II being broadcast throughout the middle East as a huge international peace effort. Food, not bombs. I’d rather police use tranquilizer bullets when shooting people who are running away or held upon the ground by other police. Of course, our law people need to be safe as they go about their job of helping our society function.

At this point, American politics is a mosh pit of speculation. Is a boom or bust coming? Will the next four years or so be a drat splat dump we will wish to flush away in the future, or will these coming years be an awakening of a whole new kind of world-wide détente? Is prosperity our future?

Will Americans ever see anything eye to eye.

Will Americans ever see anything eye to eye.

Some things are certain; the sand-hill Crane still fly south in the winter; migrations continue all over the world. Species extinctions are too prevalent and the sea levels are rising. Whether or not we have global warming, we all know CO2 emissions are not the way to go for the future of Mankind-so why the debate about global warming when the issue is emissions/pollution? Sometimes, I wonder-what’s up with the misdirection.

The graph reveals the human toll due to outdoor air pollution in 2008,… Of all major global health risks, outdoor air pollution in the form of fine particles is found to be dangerous for public health - contributing annually to over 2 million premature deaths worldwide. The WHO global study ranks air pollution as one of the top 10 killers in the world.

In the end for now, we did just have Christmas, and we can hope for a happy New Year. Let’s hope together that we have nothing to fear but fear itself. Let’s hope those who want to move forward in a kind, loving way that ‘s good for all species, the Earth and it’s people win the day.

It’s too late for Trump to shut his barn door mouth…..

Trump paying 25 million to escape(settle) charges on Fraud is not a little or insignificant thing….the BS that Trump’s too busy to fight this charge is a load of crap-you know it, I know it, and all his supporters know it…The entire world knows it. His supporters should care. Just how many times has he paid to escape rape charges? This is disgusting…and having to sleep in the White House is all too much for him to handle? There’s his respect for American history and to his electors! White House be dammed! That’s his motto.* His disdain for the White House quarters speaks to his true lack of interest and commitment to America. Zip, zero, the man couldn’t care less about past Presidents and that he’s about to be one. Come on electorate,…jack these donkeys —Pence is a madman, but he might at least have the dignity to stay in the most hallowed house in our land. It’s the White House for goodness sake! The man and his wife are worse than crazy-they have no empathy, no feeling for this great land and it’s people. None.

Trump is a mad man who’s appointments mirrors his insanity.  My entire life fighting to save our natural resources and  environment are in the balance, in this man’s hands who couldn’t care one iota for the Earth, not to mention people.

Oh, and the great save America money President is gonna cost us  one million dollars per day at Trump Towers to protect his wife while charging us, the tax payers. one and one half million dollars per year for the secret service to rent a floor in the same building?

Trump: Screw and worse you, but in other words that are not so offensive to the middle class you are working over as you laugh through your champagne.

Your wife makes a nice pin-up naked model I suppose,,but she hasn’t got a lick of sense… she’s a numb nut who copied Michelle’s Obama’s speech for her own… how dumb is that? https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/video/2016/jul/19/compare-melania-trumps-speech-with-michelle-obamas-2008-address-video

When will people care that Trump and his wife are phonies? Complete liars, fakes, fools?

You know what? My Republican friends, you have crossed the line of reason every time you say, “Wait and see.” Or, “It might not be so bad.”

Bull dung extremists, KKK, radical right, so-called centralist’s, crusading evangelists and  whack jobs-we don’t have to wait to see what a disaster you have elected as President===this man is a lunatic…and you know It! This election is the most disgusting turn of events I’ve ever seen in America…

Few claimed to have liked hearing Trump say that when it comes to women, “I grab them by the pus?y.” Thing is, without any checks and balances left in the Congress, Trump’s got us by the ‘balls,’ too.

Dump Trump,,,then can Pence. America and the World can only hope.

Franque23

*To be fair, some of this post was written a few weeks ago, and Trump may have since softened on the idea of at least occasionally gracing our White House with his presence. Imagine: an American President who stays in the White House! Since when has that happened?

To list a few….

Obamacare

détente

Give Me your tired and your poor

Women’s Rights to equal pay

Women’s right to have abortions in most cases

Current Social Security retirement age

Some amount of Social Security Check

A major part of the funding for the EPA

Emission controls for cars a business(The Clean Air Act)

A better, standard minimum wage

Wall street regulations

Union Rights to organize

Defined Pensions for Workers

National Park funding

Alaskan Pipeline resistance

Taxes on the Rich

What we get in return?

A President who is inexperienced in the field of World-Wide politics

A President who  seems unaware of people’s constitutional rights and the workings of the U.S. Government

The NRA ( A gun in every closet)

A President who has called some women pigs, dogs and worse.

A President who gloated after 9/11 since the event would make him money

A President who mused how the housing crash and economic crash in the U.S. several years ago would make him money.

A President who is against environmental protections

A President who has gone bankrupt numerous times.

A President who will soon address in court accusations of Fraud (Trump University) and rape charges.

There will be a Wall we will pay for

A First lady who has posed naked for tabloids. ( Not a crime, but is this appropriate considering the stature of the position?)

One more takeaway

You can only squeeze the middle class workers so much and for so long via both political party’s actions before that electorate is willing to shoot themselves in the foot rather than vote for an ongoing economic travesty.

The day is done; our country’s course is set for the foreseeable future.

Advice for President Obama:

Sign as many (a thousand or more) Executive Orders between now and January. This might slow that foreseeable future of a beast down.

The day is done…for now.

Tonight is the last debate, and I’m wondering just how ‘BIG’ it will be? Will the discussion be about policy and new ideas, or will it sink into the muck of He/She said this or did that? I’d like Trump to stop saying “Trust Me” and tell me why I should.

You know what? I Don’t trust Trump.

I’m for Hillary but I’ve got a question. Of all the claims Trump made about her that were found to be untrue by fact checkers, why didn’t anyone fact check Trump’s claim that Hillary was the Devil?!?!? Oh bother. You’d think someone would look that one over first—seems important.

Maybe for Halloween....

Maybe for Halloween….

No, in the end the discussion about Hillary’s morals and the past charges against her, no matter how vetted, play to Trump’s advantage.

Maybe the bottom line of the muck is Bill got off and Trump may not.

Personally, though,  I wouldn’t have smoked that cigar with Bill even though Monica was a consenting adult at the time, and people have done much worse with consenting adults.

This year’s election muck  is smeared anyway you look at it: Trump’s constituency will not go away after this election….they may still hold over 35% of the votes….this group, parts of it, are a bit off in my estimation-maybe way scary radical. Still, they represent a segment of society other Americans will have to deal with; we’ll have to find some sort of middle ground where we can all stand together and work side-by-side after this election.

I’m thinking after Hillary gets in we will have a few tough years of contraction as many have suggested, and then a recovery. Things could be worse.
Trump put his foot in his mouth, period. Palin could see Russia from her porch and there was Howard Dean’s whoop…These are the phrases that etch the paths of history. Sometimes, the words make the, ‘Man.’
It's too late to close that barn-door mouth.

For Donald Trump, it’s too late to close that barn-door mouth.

I am proud of anyone for wobbling a bit off Trump after hearing the tapes. Some are getting on the Trump Train Dump. Honestly, I think being born so rich has kept Trump from being able, or needing to, mature past a Jr. High school locker room level. I’m sad for him. I know he’s lived the life of a king, but the best part of life is trying to mature as a  spirit. It seems Trump will never use the chance.

Maybe I’m overboard, but I’m starting to feel bad about squashing centipedes. So I feel like I’m hearing the verbosity of a lost soul, a wasted life, when I listen to Trump rant and rage on so many people and topics. Again, it’s a downer.

My mom would say he's catching flies....My locker room friends would say-er never mind.

My mom would say he’s catching flies….My locker room friends would say-er never mind.

Trump is running for President. This is to his credit. The trouble is he needs a shrink not the Oval Office.

I’ve one more question(for now).

Will vulgar become vogue? The Italian parliament ruled just this year that it’s legal to publicly masturbate as long as children aren’t watching…odd. But, it’s another useless law. What good does that law do a guy after he’s gone blind? Yes, I’m assuming it will be the men who take ‘advantage’ of this new law in Italy-go figure.

Words can set precedent, Donald! And oddly, that word sounds like….?*

She’s climbed the hill and soon Hillary will be President. Then, she can toot her horn(s)-as if.

* Hint: Presi****.

The library district I work for, The Alachua County Library District in Florida, has made the national news? Usually when this happens we make feel good, happy days, we’re one of the ten best libraries in the country type of news. Not today.

To be specific, the story about our library district refers to a patron who claims our buying preferences are bias, tainted with a prejudice, a mess of a heap of spending that leans towards liberal material  purchases while giving the thumbs down to books or media that favors the conservative right.

The book in question is, Clinton Cash, the graphic novel version.  The headlines on the matter state that “A Florida Library Bans book….” Below is the actual immediate follow-up to the headline.

The Alachua County Library District denied Alachua County resident Ann Lhota’s request to make Clinton Cash: A Graphic Novel available to borrow.”

Let’s be clear—Not buying a book for the library shelves is a far cry from  banning a book, but there’s so much more that goes with this story, and none of it is being discussed in the news stories.  Not only has our library district not banned this book, we own ten or more copies of the book, just not the graphic novel format. The Alachua County Library owns this book.

It is relevant to note that only 60 libraries nation-wide have bought this book in the graphic novel format. Why? This  I can’t answer, but it’s clear that 99% of library purchase departments country-wide deem buying this book a poor use of tax payer’s money. This basically means the purchase departments for libraries across the county don’t think the graphic novel will circulated enough to be worth its cost. In our case, the hard print version of this book has not circulated well up to this date-that could change with all the commotion this so-called news story has created.

It’s also important to note the Alachua County library has actually bought 35 of 39 purchase requests this patron has made over the past two years. Actually, this is an astonishing number of purchase requests for any one patron to make within a two-year period. I think it nice that she is so motivated but it’s even more mind-blowing that our purchase department has bought such a high number of her book request! Why this one book is stuck in her craw I can’t say…but her complaints on this matter have been as highly motivated as her interest in submitting purchase requests.

Ann Lhots has complained to town commissioners,  to newspapers and to library officials about this decision to not, at this point, pick up one of her 39 purchase requests. Fellow sympathizer’s for her cause have sent e-mails from around the nation, some flat-out rude, laced with name calling, crude expressions and vile wishes. Why? We house over 250 thousand books in just one of eleven locations comprised within our library district-the issue is over one format of one book that we do own in another.

More to the point, why is this story national news? How bizarre.  Tsk-tsk to the papers that ran this story. Of course, the fuel to this over blown story lies within the motivation of those who wish to portray libraries as national hot beds of radical, liberal thinking.

It’s a common core belief of many on the Right or conservative side of politics that libraries should not be funded by tax dollars. Case in point.  Texas had the nation’s lowest state funding for its public libraries  when George Bush Jr. was its governor.  So yeah, people who might like us to carry the graphic novel version of, Clinton Cash, a book that leans ‘right’ when it comes to embracing Hillary Clinton’s downside, may well be among those who think libraries are ill-suited for the public cause.

The bottom line is pubic libraries have no agenda but to exist and to provide free and open access to any type of information-factual, entertaining, trendy, now or then, to every edge of knowledge or furthermost out there speculation. It’s all good if it’s information, that’s any public library’s unspoken motto.

Please go out and visit your public library; we love seeing patrons. The materials we provide are free to access and librarians across the country are available to help you locate what you hope to find. As for Ms. Lhota’s complaint, I would have expected a “Thank You for buying 35 of the 39 books I requested you buy,” instead. Or, at least a smile.

The papers running this story should have taken a broader look at the story before spending their hard-earned money on the ink it took to print.

See you in the public library.

Franque23–I’ve been a library Specialist for the past twenty-two years.

I’m there, at that age, and I can tell you- every middle class , upper middle class and anyone below these classes needs to have the benefits of their hard-earned paychecks(investments), a pension from the jobs they have served long-term, plus social security when they age. Really, getting old is not a walk through white daisy fields-the ones we will one day push up

download-5— but a daily struggle of will and body that differs for each person who gets to ripen with age.

It's a journey-we all needs hats and safety nets.

It’s a journey-we all needs hats and safety nets.

It’s not that things fall off when you get older.

Hey look! It's not me!!!

Hey look! It’s not me!!!

Heck, in some ways at 67 I’m as strong as I ever was, maybe less distracted, more focused. The early years are swamped with wonder. The middle years filled with responsibilities, trials, tribulations, too many bills, phone calls, the ‘What the hell are my kids doing?’ moments, booze, parties, I’m  absolutely positive thoughts, mistakes and breakthroughs, couches that need to be replaced and ‘If only’s’.

It's the year of the Meme...

It’s the year of the Meme…

Welcome to the inner sanctum

Welcome to the inner sanctum

The older years are when things start to slow down though Grandchildren, if you have any, can keep things spinning but not, usually, twenty-four seven like immediate family chores. Older years give a person time to reflect, hear the birds, feel the breeze, garden,  and finally take time to sit in that rocker bought so long ago. It’s a great time to read and to forget the worry-a silent apprehension that things may not work out. Heck, if you reach the older years, things have worked out. Congrats.

You've won.....

You’ve won…..

Sure, everyone should count pennies as they go but this shouldn’t be a full-time job when you reach retirement, not unless you’re some sorta mathematics savant who loves the pastime. This is why every American should demand a pension from jobs they have held for long periods of time, and a social security check. Oh, I know, I know-owners, the ruling class, and some workers clamor on about investing  in stocks rather suffering through Social Security paycheck deductions. The thing is, I do think workers should have an investment scheme going on for their lives, but also Social Security. The stocks can wobble up or down, and sometimes down for long periods of time just when a person reaches an age when they need them to wiggle up. Social Security stands now as a constant income as should be.

The notion that Social Security should be disbanded or its funds stolen for other government programs is a trash heap of garbage that stinks for workers.

Dumping Social Security and eradicating pensions smells fishy--don't go donw that road.

Dumping Social Security and eradicating pensions smells fishy–don’t go down that road.

What a load....

What a load….

Those opposed to Social Security keep flappin' their jaws spewing crap.

Those opposed to Social Security keep flappin’ their jaws spewing crap.

Don’t buy into that premise.  Invest in stocks-go high or low risk as you like- work your ass off when you can during your life  in pension rich jobs, and demand Social Security. Do this and you’ll not only hear the birds but have time to learn their calls and name them during old age. The Life scheme as it was set for workers and running so well in the 1950’s still works.

Don’t let the politicians steal, erode or flim-flam your mind with gobbledygook.

Americans should expect and demand a Federally insured, defined benefit pension option for every job…Social Security with viable health insurance and a healthy investment market-that’s government by the people, for the people and security.

Cheers-keep up the fight. Slough off the crap and sling the truth.

Diversity of incomes helps...

Diversity of incomes helps…

“You know, it really doesn’t matter what the media write as long as you’ve got a young, and beautiful, piece of ass.”  Donald Trump.

Recently, a series of articles are claiming that Donald Trump may have had sex with an under age girl or girls. Of course, at this point, the question has to be asked: is this true? And it has to be noted that being charged of  crimes in America does not presume guilt-we stand as a society upon the presumption of innocence.

Does the, "look'" say a thousand words?

Does the, “look'” say a thousand words?

But what are the charges at hand? This is from an article published today and  linked below…..

A brief precis: ‘Jane Doe’, the plaintiff, alleges that in 1994 she was held as a sex slave in an apartment belonging to Jeffrey Epstein (the second defendant in the case). ‘Jane Doe’ alleges that on one occasion, Trump tied her to a bed, exposed himself and then “proceeded to forcibly rape” her. When she pleaded with him to stop, she says he struck her in the face and yelled that he would do what he wanted. ‘Jane Doe’ also alleges that Epstein vaginally and anally raped her following the assault by Trump, physically striking her in the head at one point while screaming at Trump that it was he, rather than Trump, who should have been the one to “take her virginity”.

For the record, Trump’s lawyer has dismissed the allegations as “categorically untrue, completely fabricated and politically motivated.” But as Bloom points out, there are compelling reasons for the mainstream media to at least consider them worthy of reporting. First, there’s the fact that Jeffrey Epstein is a convicted pedophile and Level 3 registered sex offender with a preference for underage girls. There is also the matter of his ongoing, documented friendship with Trump – just prior to Epstein’s conviction, Trump had this to say about the man he had known for 15 years: “Terrific guy. He’s a lot of fun to be with. It is even said that he likes beautiful women as much as I do, and many of them are on the younger side. No doubt about it, Jeffrey enjoys his social life.”

But more concerning even than that is the fact that ‘Jane Doe’ claims to have a witness. ‘Tiffany Doe’ (both women have, with the court’s approval, exercised their right to anonymity for fear of retaliation given the high-profile nature of the case) worked for a number of years for Epstein, and says part of her job was to lure underage girls to these aforementioned parties. In documents filed to the court, ‘Tiffany Doe’ says, “I personally witnessed four sexual encounters that the Plaintiff was forced to have with Mr. Trump during this period, including the fourth of these encounters where Mr. Trump forcibly raped her despite her pleas to stop.” She says she continues to live in “mortal fear” of Trump.

Untested though they may be, the allegations are damning. That by itself should be enough to have the mainstream media at least somewhat interested in reporting on them, never mind the fact they are being leveled against a person who may soon become the leader of the free world. Keeping in mind the fact that Trump, like anyone, is entitled to a presumption of innocence when facing criminal allegations, the media still has an obligation to report on such matters. Why the silence? Is this just another form of the protection given to people with power, and powerful men in particular?”

I watch a film of an interveiwer asking Trump what he most shared with his daughter. His response was, "SEX." I presume he meant sax appeal-we can only hope.

As powerful as these charges seem, I’m a bit more fascinated, call it stuck, on the trumped up charges Trump has laid at the feet of the American voters. His first main call to fame and leadership during this election cycle has been to, “Make America Great Again!”  Say what? I say America is still great in sooo many ways. Or, is it the contention of Trump supporters that America is the arm pit of the world? The freedom to chose, protest, lead or not, work, our huge GNP, own a home, our union won 40 hour work weeks, vacations, Holidays,  schools, a National road network, our military might, voting rights, the freedom of speech and to dress and act in a huge variety of ways are just some of the ways America is Great, and has been for so long. So just who, or what, is Trump going to “make great again?” There’s a question I’d like directly answered.

Trump is supported by a fringe element in our society that truly makes no sense when their ideologies are tied down to the facts they protest. The entire Trump movement has been scammed by , “Trumped up Charges,” full of slippery rhetoric, emotional pleas laced with violent tendencies, outrageous name calling and bogus facts.

I’d say the bottom line of this election cycle is that Hillary wins by a landslide. My prediction lies upon a belief that 99% of Black voters don’t like Trump; 99% of women voters should hate the man; All immigrants must puke at the man’s image; all democrats will not vote for Trump; and, like it or not, Hillary is better looking than Trump. It is my firm belief that racists, lunatics, gun nuts and dim-wits combined with die-hard Republicans and the religious ‘right’ do not out number the people contained in the list above.

To the rich and powerful who may salivate over the possibility of Trump’s election I offer this- yes, Trump will do whatever business wants like a puppy who begs for a bone, but the ruling class has simply not given the working class citizens enough cash over the course of the last forty years to make a radical change attractive. The economic squeeze from the top tier of American wealth has drained the juice out of any base support those in power may hope to get from the free thinking working class.

To this end, the rich and powerful will continue to try to erode the educational systems in our country until they have enough voters who are willing to swallow the Trumped up Charges…..For now, those numbers don’t add up to a victory in November. Plus, the recent charges laid against Trump may not be Trumped up? Time will tell….

Wait; What? I thought we "Loved America, right or wrong?" I guess not, huh?

Say what?

Say what?

“Put simply and crassly, the American peoples’ memory for political events is little better than the attention span of a ferret, on crystal meth, in a mirror store.”*

You think Trump will remain the mean primary winning guy who’s yelling from the Right side of the room once he gets his party’s nomination? Not so much. For Trump, the Times will be a changin’ and, in fact, that change has already begun.

It’s simple truth that most, if not all, candidates move their stance to the political middle of the road once they win either party’s nomination. Trump will be no different. He has already changed stride during the last Republican debate. The national coverage took his pedal-to-the-medal foot off of spewing hateful anti-immigrant slogans while he chose to bank left and declare that,”I can make a deal.”

Interesting. Our not long ago hate monger is metamorphosing into a Deal Breaker who can broker World-Wide trade and turn that cash flow back in America’s favor. I’d think every American hopes for that.

Amazing. Our, I’m free to shoot whoever I like, primary candidate is turning his aim toward the venue of detente. Soon, Trump’s theme song will be, I won’t Back Down…And who doesn’t want a President who won’t back down?

Come this November, ballets will be about perception, a far cry from a reality filled of facts long since forgotten.

I’ve read the average voting American has a sever case of short-term memory loss, and I believe it. It is possible that Trump could shoot a person in March, bury him that same month, and by November be remembered as the guy who owns a huge, successful fertilizer business.

Come this September, Trump won’t be charging Mexico for a wall but embracing that country in a bi-partnered initiative to create local employment and enhance equal respect between the two countries. Trump won’t be calling for his rally dissenters to be punched, but rather he’ll greet those of differing opinions with open arms, just as he does all his foreign employees and wives. He’s already loves the poor and Black people…it’s really just that he forgot to mention Mexicans and other immigrants during the primary speeches. Now, our excellent police force will have all that in good hands under his soon to be appointed new leaders in that field. Problems will fade as Trump’s love for this country grows…

Meanwhile, while fact check shows Hillary did nothing wrong over the Benghazi massacre-one some seem to think was worse than any WW II crime committed-Trump will make sure American’s know how to spell the word, Benghazi, backward by the time he’s finished talking about that incident. And the e-mails Hillary hid will be easily seen after the 10 thousand e-mails Bush and Chaney erased are sent air-borne by Trump’s blow-hard speeches on the subject. His immigration stances will be equated to Biblical teachings-spare the rod and spoil the child. I imagine Trump will memorize at least one Biblical verse by November no mater how hard it is for him to remember his favorite book-The Bible.

Odd, how one of Trumps major cards to play will be Hillary’s relationship to technology-her missing e-mails- while a different sort of technology, film tape, may be Hillary’s salvation if she hopes to win this November. Trump will try to distance himself from the speeches and tactics he used to help win the primary during the National election campaign period; Hillary can use tape to tie him down to those very same speeches and tactics via massive air-wave ads. Trump and the elephant party will hope voters do forget what happened in March when it comes time to vote in November. Hillary by September can dig in her heels as a donkey might and plow those hopes away by showing actual footage of the Trump gone mad in March.images (5)

“You did too say that!”

No matter what, Trump will try to move to the middle as the successful business man who never meant exactly what he had said in the past. Thing is, can Hillary make him eat his words? The election will come down to that.images (3)

Will Trump eat his words?
